2025 Wise County
Non-Commercial Wine Competition Rules

Entries are now being
accepted for the 2025 Wise County Non-Commercial Wine Competition.
Rules:
1. The competition is
open to all non-commercial (amateur) winemakers.
2. Each entry must
consist of one 750ml bottle.
3. Entry form must be
included with each wine.
4. Wines will be judged
in one of four classes: Red, White, Blends and Fruit. Each wine may be
entered in only one class. If a wine class does not have enough
entries, classes may be combined.
5. One wine will be
selected as the Grand Champion.
Gold, Silver, and
Bronze medals will be awarded to wines that perform best in each
class. The Awards Ceremony will be on Saturday October 18th.
Those not in attendance can pick up their medal(s) the following week
at TF Vineyard and Winery. However, we would like you or your
representative to come to the Awards Ceremony if possible.
6. Back by popular
demand “People’s Choice”. Once wine judging has been completed
on September 27th, wines will be set up for the People’s Choice
competition.
7. Each bottle must
have an information label attached.
Labels should contain
the name of the winemaker, class, wine type/varietal, and vintage (if
known). Blends should state the percentage of each grape/fruit used.
Also label MUST state “NOT FOR
SALE, FOR WINE COMPETITION ONLY.”
8. The fee is $15.00 per
wine entry. There is no limit to the number of entries per
winemaker.
9. Judges will be:
Grapevine Wine Pouring Society & Winery Owners / Winemakers.
Deadline for Entry:
Wines
MUST
be received on or before Saturday, September 6, 2025, by close of
business (7:00pm).

Awards Ceremony:
Save the Date
Saturday October 18th
during the Customer Appreciation Event. Grand Champion, People’s
Choice, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded.
